Abstract: Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of octreotide combined with magnesium sulfate in the treatment of acute severe pancreatitis (SAP). Methods: A total of 70 SAP patients admitted to our hospital from January 2019 to December 2020 were selected and divided into control group and observation group according to the random number table method, with 35 cases in each group, the control group received conventional treatment, and the observation group was treated with octreotide and magnesium sulfate for 7 days. Results: The observation group was better than the control group in terms of symptom relief, improvement of biochemical indexes, reduction of inflammatory response, reduction of pancreatic complications, shortening of hospital stay and cost (P<0.05). There were no serious adverse reactions in either group. Conclusion: Octreotide combined with magnesium sulfate is effective and safe in the treatment of SAP, and can be used as an effective treatment regimen. |
